Driscoll Boat Works
Announces their Reorganization
SAN
DIEGO, CA – May 2, 2006 – Driscoll Boat Works names a new General Manager of
Operations and Production Staff. This second generation family owned company
wanted to bring the management back to the family and appointed Chuck
Driscoll as the General Manager of Operations.
Chuck Driscoll will now oversee all aspects of Sales, Marketing, and
Production for the two Shelter Island facilities. After twenty one years of
running his own Marine Surveying business, Chuck returned to the family
business in 1998 to operate Driscoll’s Kettenburg facility. His boating
knowledge, personalized customer service, and demeanor make him a natural
leader for the Driscoll Team. “This company was founded by my father, Gerry
and his brother Harlan. They had a tradition of customer service that set
the standard for the industry. Tom and I want to get back to that standard.
This re-organization is the first step in that direction,” Tom Driscoll the
current president of Driscoll Boat Works and Driscoll, Inc. will remove
himself from the day to day boatyard operations to focus on redevelopment
and expansion projects.
Helping execute this fresh attitude and focus on customer service is the new
sales and production team. Bringing over one hundred years of combined
experience to Driscoll’s production office will be the trio of Bob Bolster,
Rick Viloria, and Mike Fitzgerald. The current sales staff will now be
joined by Bill Campbell. Bill brings a wealth of sailing experience and
strong ties to the San Diego Boating Community. He will be dealing directly
with the various yacht brokerage offices and boat dealers. Driscoll Boat
Works is a full service repair facility located on Shelter Island. For more
information please contact Chuck Driscoll, Neil Wilson, or Bill Campbell in
the Sales Department.
